elliotts names John Farrell as non-exec chairman

elliotts Agency, a PR and marketing agency specialising in the hospitality sector, has made a series of appointments to its senior team, including former president and CEO of Publicis Group’s specialised agencies and marketing services arm, John Farrell, who replaces Steve Wilkins as non-executive chairman.

John Farrell

Farrell, who has more than 25 years’ experience in marketing, comms and advertising, was president and CEO of global comms and advertising network D’Arcy Worldwide before joining Publicis Groupe in 2003. He was at Publicis Groupe until 2008.

He currently serves in non-executive positions for several PR, ad, media, marketing services and retail businesses including Four Communications, Albion, DWA, Adjust Your Set, Octopus, Cognifide and Acceleration. He also provides consultancy services to organisations including The European Golf Tour, Quintessentially and Saatchi & Saatchi.

In addition to Farrell’s appointment, elliotts has also brought in Dan Eaves as its first business director.

With over 15 years agency and client-side experience, Eaves joins elliotts from West London creative agency RPM, having most recently worked across Diageo’s European and global accounts.

Elliotts has also appointed Karen Abrams and Rob Daniels as client directors.

Abrams joins from consumer PR agency freerange communications, having most recently delivered national and global campaigns for household entertainment brands such as Madame Tussauds and SEA LIFE Aquariums.

Daniels arrives from integrated marketing and digital agency Graymatter, where his clients included Accor Hotels and WorldVision UK.
