Cision is holding an exclusive media briefing with global women’s fashion brand Stylist. Joining us will be Stylist’s editor-in-chief, Lisa Smosarski, the title’s beauty director, Anita Bhagwandas, and its fashion director, Arabella Greenhill.
Since its launch in October 2009, Stylist has become the UK’s leading fashion and lifestyle weekly, with an audited ABC of more than 400,000 copies every week. An advocate for women who are defining a very modern take on feminism, Stylist’s audience consists of the country’s finest professional women. They are time-poor but thought-rich. They demand the best out of life.
Stylist launched its Fashion and Beauty HQs earlier this year to unify the brand’s fashion and beauty expertise under the creative visions of the title’s editorial directors. This unified voice creates a deeper connection with Stylist’s influential Met Set consumers.
In January, Stylist launched Visible Women, its biggest editorial initiative to date, with a collector’s edition of the magazine celebrating the landmark centenary of the first women winning the right to vote. The Suffragette Issue was the first high-profile piece of activity in Stylist’s year-long initiative, VisibleWomen.
This editorial activation aims to raise the awareness and profiles of women who have made a difference to the world, with a view to empowering and inspiring their own audience. Stylist believes “you can be what you can see” and has outlined three pledges the brand will commit to delivering over 2018:
- The Visibility pledge to raise awareness of women who’ve made a difference to society, celebrate their success and ensure there are more role models for girls and women.
- The Representation pledge. As just 32% of MPs are women (and just 26% of the cabinet) Stylist will work to increase the visibility of women in the political sphere.
- The Education pledge to teach future generations about inspiring women, past and present.
