Gorkana is holding a media briefing with BuzzFeed UK’s head of buzz, Tabatha Leggett, senior reporter, Rossalyn Warren, and senior lifestyle writer, Chelsey Pippin.
BuzzFeed is a cross-platform, global network for news and entertainment that generates six billion views each month. BuzzFeed creates and distributes content for a global audience and utilizes proprietary technology to continuously test, learn and optimize.
It might be best known for its lists and quizzes, but it has invested to put ‘serious’ news at the heart of its proposition in the last 12 months.
BuzzFeed UK was launched in 2012 by Luke Lewis, who had approached the US BuzzFeed team with a mocked up version of what a UK BuzzFeed homepage might look like. They liked what they saw and the UK edition of BuzzFeed was born.
BuzzFeed UK content spans a wide range of subjects, including politics, investigations, lifestyle, food, technology, celebrity news, music, sports, LGBT issues and animals.
