The Bloomberg Media Group comprises Bloomberg Television, Bloomberg Businessweek magazine, Bloomberg Markets magazine, Bloomberg Radio, Bloomberg.com and Bloomberg’s consumer mobile platforms.

We were joined by Mark Gilbert, London bureau chief Bloomberg News, Gary Kanofsky, senior executive producer Bloomberg Television and Francine Lacqua, anchor of ‘On The Move’ and ‘Countdown’ on Bloomberg Television. They provided insight into Bloomberg’s multi-platform offering and how best to pitch guests and story ideas to reach the vast global audience across all its platforms.

Breakfast Briefing with Intelligent Life

Intelligent Life is the award-winning lifestyle and culture magazine from The Economist. It covers the arts, style, food, wine, cars, travel and anything else, as long as it’s interesting. From August the magazine will be published six times a year instead of quarterly, providing more frequent editorial opportunities.

We were delighted to be joined by Editor, and two time winner of the BSME’s Editor of the Year Award, Tim de Lisle and Assistant Editor Isabel Lloyd. Tim and Isabel revealed all about being a bi-monthly, engaging with PRs and why general-interest magazines are set to rule.

Breakfast briefing with FT Tilt

FT Tilt was launched in January 2011 and is a premium online financial news and analysis service focused exclusively on the emerging world. It serves finance professionals who have a direct interest in these markets and business professionals who need a deeper understanding of the fast-growing regions.

We were joined by Editor-in-chief Paul Murphy and Russia, CIS and CEE Reporter Alastair Marsh and Reporter Sid Verma who provded greater insight into the features of the service and advised how best PRs can contribute to it.
Paul also discussed his thoughts on why Western financial media is suffering as a result of fixating on New York and London; and how coverage is shifted away from the tilt in economic power and influence toward the south and east.

Dominic Laurie is currently presenting early morning news on BBC Radio 5 Live Monday to Thursday and on BBC Radio 4 on Fridays.
