W Communications has been brought in by Obikà Mozzarella Bar and Restaurant to launch its latest site in South Kensington this summer.

The Italian culinary concept is the brainchild of founder Silvio Ursini, former creative director of Bulgari, who has combined authentic Italian cuisine with a sleek and contemporary atmosphere.
Activity will include profiling the business people behind the concept including Silvio and Obikà's CEO David Haimes, as well as providing UK media with exclusive tasting opportunities and driving press interest around the new opening. UK activity will complement Obikà's 19 worldwide locations including Tokyo, Istanbul, New York, Los Angeles as well as key sites across Italy.
W picked up the brief after its work launching MEATliquor last November caught Silvio's attention.
He said: "We have a strong offering to take to London's dining scene and needed a strong agency to support our long term business strategy. W Communications really impressed us with its track record and commercial expertise and we are delighted to have them on board ahead of the launch of our new site."
Warren Johnson, W Communications MD, said: "We've already cemented our restaurant credentials with MEATliquor and MEATmarket in the past six months and we are looking forward to creating the same level of commercial success for Obikà, as well as taking the London dining scene another step forward."
The appointment follows several recent wins for W Communications including luxury tailor Spencer Hart, a William Grant & Sons global brief, Hearst's Cosmopolitan and two Visit Sweden projects.
