RLM Finsbury advises CGI on Logica bid
6 June 2012

The Canadian CGI Group has hired RLM Finsbury to manage communications over its £1.7bn recommended bid for technology company Logica, which is being advised by retained agency Brunswick.

CGI is offering 105p per Logica share, a significant premium to the pre offer price, but the market has not discounted the prospect of a counter bid. Logica shareholders are due to vote on the offer in July.

Finsbury partners James Murgatroyd and Charles Chichester are heading up the Finsbury team. Jonathan Glass and Sarah West are leading the Logica account team at Brunswick.

Logica has 41,000 employees and revenues of £3.9bn in 2011 largely from Europe. CGI's current operations have a North American focus where it posted revenues last year of £2.7bn.
