Microsoft has brought in 3 Monkeys Communications to handle the UK social media for its advertising division, Microsoft Advertising, following a competitive pitch.
The move comes off the back of 3 Monkeys' work spearheading Microsoft's consumer PR and trade marketing remit. The team also spent two years leading MSA's trade PR.
The agency has also steered Microsoft's consumer activity, including major product launches for Bing, Windows 7 and Windows Phone.
The brief expands the 3 Monkeys social media team portfolio and builds on the campaigns it has executed for Bing UK.
The account will be led by 3 Monkeys associate director Sarah Ogden, and the team will report to Donna Hindson, trade marketing director of Microsoft's A&O division in the UK.
