Bite wins gaming brief
26 July 2012

Online gaming company Spil Games has appointed Bite Communications to handle its European PR in the UK and France, following a three-way pitch.

The agency has been briefed to raise the profile of Spil's social gaming platforms to both consumer and B2B audiences.

For B2B audiences, Bite is tasked with educating advertisers on the innovative channels and campaigns that social gaming can offer. For B2C audiences, the agency will drive campaigns which encourage consumers to play games on Spil Games platforms; in particular 'tween' site GirlsgoGames.com, the biggest gaming platform for girls in the US, and one of the largest in Europe.

The account will be led by Bite's UK head of consumer, Marco Bilello, and the team will report to Scott Johnston, the Netherlands-based head of global PR at Spil Games.

Scott said: "In the pitch, the Bite team proved to have extensive knowledge and experience of our target media across both consumer and B2B sectors. They demonstrated an insight-driven approach using integrated channels to deliver measurable results. I look forward to working with Bite and rolling out some great campaigns."

Marco said: "Spil Games presents us with an exciting opportunity to build the brand in Europe and increase awareness and recognition of the value of the platform. We also look forward to working with Launch Squad in the US to execute fully integrated global campaigns, taking Spil Games to a new level."
