TOPSHOP appoints CMO
13 June 2012

TOPSHOP has brought in Burberry's Justin Cooke as chief marketing officer.

Justin will join in September to oversee all aspects of PR, strategic marketing, VIP relations and personal shopping. His focus will be to harness loyalty and reach new audiences globally.

Justin has spent the last six years at Burberry, as global vice president of PR. During his time there, he was involved in helping reposition Burberry in the media to transform the British retailer into a global brand.

Sir Philip Green, TOPSHOP owner, said: "With TOPSHOP's ambitious plans, both at home and overseas, for digital marketing and social media in particular, this is a very exciting time to bring someone of Justin's calibre on board.

"I am an admirer of how Burberry has been an innovator in many areas, so Justin's experience will add a new dynamic to the team."

Mary Homer, MD of TOPSHOP, said: "Justin will add another dimension to the way we connect with our consumer and help strategically redefine the TOPSHOP customer experience."

Justin said: "TOPSHOP is such an iconic British brand that has always been uniquely positioned. This is something we intend to build on, whilst engaging and entertaining our customers in completely new ways."

TOPSHOP has 313 stores in the UK and the next international flagship store opens next year in The Grove, Los Angeles.
