Ogilvy appoints tech lead
26 September 2013

Ogilvy PR London has appointed Bite Communications’ Kelly Hall to lead and grow the agency’s tech practice.

Kelly joins as a director and will work closely with Ogilvy PR's content and social teams to drive integrated consumer and B2B campaigns for tech companies.

Her brief will also include the roll-out of Espresso, the agency's new offer designed to kick-start the media profiles of emerging tech startups.

Michael Frohlich, UK MD at Ogilvy PR London, said: "I am thrilled to welcome Kelly to the Ogilvy PR family. Her experience and reputation will be an invaluable addition to our senior team, while her knowledge of both major clients and innovating smaller companies will help Ogilvy PR move forward in maintaining our aggressive growth.

"She has also got the right tools to continue to grow our technology practice, as it moves from a niche specialism to mainstream."

Kelly previously ran the business and technology practice at Bite Communications, which she joined in 2009, and has worked across various global brands including HP, Sage and Nokia. Before then, she spent six years at LEWIS PR.

She has also worked with several Silicon Valley and European startups during her career including Box, Nest and Netbiscuits.

Kelly said: "Technology underpins people's lives and experiences. Our vision is to partner with companies that are innovating in their field and have got a compelling story to tell.

"It's very exciting to join an agency that can truly deliver integrated programmes. Content production and social comms are part of Ogilvy PR's DNA, and these specialists sit at the heart of the team.

"The new energised vision, and the talent that has been invested in during the last few years, was what really attracted me to be part of Ogilvy PR's next phase of growth. The agency’s global network and ecosystem present an unrivalled opportunity for the technology team here in the UK, and I can't wait to take on the challenge."
