The apps market has created a nice little revenue stream for Apple, little of course being an understatement. The flexibility for developers around the world to participate has also given consumers a large variety of apps to choose from. The Financial Times has now launched a HTML5 web-app instead of an iPad app, therefore avoiding the 30 per cent cut to Apple.
